'BAMACLOSURES & BARRYCADES in your area?

Is the government shutdown causing any restrictions of where you can ride or enjoy the outdoors regardless of form in your area?

Let's keep each other informed of what is going on through out this great land.

Make fun of the government policies if you wish, but let's keep it free of...well, you understand; Right?

Here in the state of Oregon the Oregon Dunes have been closed. Saw several rigs loaded up with ATV's headed that direction today...don't see how they can stop them...Too many side entrances?

Up in Washington heard that the area around St. Helen's has been closed. Anyone with a tag to hunt in that area now can not.

What's going down in your area?

    I'm confused, you mean Boehnercades?

In central Pa, it's almost all state forest, so we aren't really affected other than the government owes me money that I'm not going to get. And that's going to keep me from buying a fatbike any time soon

No need to be confused...HE has used the name Barry, has he not? Does not Barry... flow better than Boehner...? That should be a noboehner.

It started as a political sh!t talk quagmire with the very title of the thread. Which confuses me as the shutdown is a terrorist ploy by the GOP who refuse to acknowledge a law that was passed like 2 years ago. And who are so disconnected from the citizens they represent that they are content to let many suffer just so a nonsensical point can be proven.

This thread could have been started without political nonsense. Perhaps a title such as "Are the government shutdowns affecting your riding at all?" But, no

Yeah, the title of this thread is... douchey.

This is one of the very few forums that I am part of that avoids political crap. We really should keep it that way.

Down here in Atlanta the chattahoochee river parks are closed, not many bike trails but a lot of hiking.

How is it closed? Isn't this like public land? Why would one care about such 'closures' anyways. Sounds all fishy to me.

Seems like even as a hiker or biker you can't avoid the political crap.

Dunno about the politics of it because I live in the UK, but land closures sound like a fundamental attack on your freedom, not merely a political issue.

If you don't have freedom of access then you don't actually have freedom.

Please keep politics out of this forum. This is where I come to escape the lunacy of politics, not revel in them.
