    The “Extra Rep” Handout Thread

    Inspired by the “Rep Power” thread, I thought it would be fun to have a thread where I can give away any “extra” reputation I have left at the end of the day. Maybe someone else would like to do the same? You, perhaps?

    Currently, a member cannot give out more than 10 reputations (positive or negative) per day. I do get the dreaded “You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours…” message sometimes. But, most days I go prowling for a helpful post just to use up those remaining reps so they won’t go to waste. Why not hand them out here?

    To keep things from turning into a Maury Povich episode, there should be some common sense rules…

    Gentlemen’s (and Ladies’) Agreement

    1) Don’t discuss this thread, outside of this thread.
    Really. This thread originated in The ReCycle Bin. Nobody knows about it except for you and your fellow ReCycle Bin dumpster divers. If someone posts in here you’ll know they’ve been snooping in the bin…

    2) Post up a simple “I’m in.” message. Or, post the Declaration of Independence. Just post up a message for me to rep.

    3) Don’t post more than once per 100 messages in the thread. Members must spread reputation around to 100 other people before you can rep the same person twice. In order to prevent a bunch of “You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to …. again” messages, just take note of your post number in the thread and don’t post again until there have been 100 other posts. For example, I won’t post again until after #101 in the thread.

    4) If you have some reps, pass them out. Pick a random page (if this thread ever grows to more than one page), pick a random post, pick someone you like, whatever. Start passing out rep forwards, backwards, every other post, whatever makes you happy. Use ‘em up…

    5) No complaining if you're not receiving the amount of rep you expected. If you haven't been repped it's because people have run out of rep for the day, they've already repped you within the last 100 times and can't hit you up again for awhile, they haven' visited the thread lately, etc...

    I'm in, but I went from 7 rep points and 1 green chicklet to zero and red over night, and I only have 3 - reps from 3 cowards....WTFF!!!!

    Not me. I promise. I signed my sig on some pos+ rep in "this forum" thread for ARCHAIC. That's the only signing I've down so far. Figure I'd let people know who was leaving them good vibes. I've not neg'ed anyone in this thread. Seems we have a super d-bag on hand. This is the problem w/ the whole rep thing. No accountability.

    Update: not that it really matters, seemed to get along fine before, and will after rep points but....Have gotten more bad rep for post #21. Just makes me scratch my head. I mean how can someone leave bad rep for giving a unknown guy a fair shot, finding a mole, calling them out, and trying to piss them off. And of coarse the neg repers don't man up and leave a name. On the bright side the good rep I'v gotten must be from people with more rep power because it has up'd my count more than the bad so thanx.
    IMO there's some very cool. knowledgeable folk on here so regardless of rep points I'll be back, but there's also some who are just fools and love to hate. So haters, hate on me all you want, LOL. Use your measly power for evil instead of good. It not only would show me who you are if you had the balls to man up, but it should show you.
