FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ride424.com founder pulls double duty reporting for Cyclingnews.com and Ride424
San Jose, CA - 07.01.07
Team Ride424.com/X-Fusion is ready for the start of the BC Bike Race, also called The Pacific Traverse and was originally known as the Seven ostensibly because it is seven stages during seven days and ends on 7/7/07. The first stage is July 1 starting in Victoria, BC, and ending at Lake Cowichan.
Team Ride424.com/X-Fusion is Jennifer Ratay and Karl Etzel. Jen hails from Palo Alto, CA and is an accomplished 24 Hour athlete and member of the Dart-Nuun Adventure Racing Team. She also has a day job with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. Karl lives in San Jose, CA and is the founder of Ride424.com, the most complete website for the ultra-endurance racer. Karl is also a 24 Hour racer and he too works a day job as a Program Manager for the Digital Health Group at Intel Corporation. His most recent result was third at the 24 Hours of Adrenalin event at Laguna Seca in June on a two-person team.
If it is not enough to do a tough, seven-day stage race, Karl is pulling double duty as a correspondent for Cyclingnews.com and for Ride424.com. He will be sending written updates daily to Cyclingnews along with photos. On Ride424.com, one can listen to Karlís updates with the unique Audio Blog feature.
Karl and Jen will be aboard bikes equipped with X-Fusionís Velvet R suspension fork and O2 PVA rear shocks. X-Fusion Performance Suspension will provide them with the precision control they need to slay the sick BC singletrack and body fatigue saving bump absorption so they can get up the next day and do it all over again.
X-Fusion is a global designer and manufacturer of world-class, high-performance suspension products. X-Fusion produces a complete line of rear shocks under the model names O2, Vector and Glyde as well as suspension forks under the names Velvet and Delta 8. X-Fusion distributes its products throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
The goal of Ride424.com is to help grow the sport of ultra-endurance MTB racing by providing content that informs and entertains. The site features a complete calendar of North American ultra-endurance MTB races, and provides a forum for racers to share their experiences in these events. Listing in the race calendar is free to event promoters. The site includes training, nutrition, and equipment information. Event directors interested in having their race covered can contact Ride424.com for more information.
