Small Team, Big Results-Maverick Pro riders rocking gravity events on stock ML8frames

    June 26 --- Boulder, CO

Maverick factory pro riders Ariel Lindsley, Mike West and Abby Hippely have stormed through the early season race calendar on their Maverick ML8 frames. Designed for all-mountain off road riding, the 6.5” travel ML8 has demonstrated its superior handling and control-at-speed on demanding DH courses such as Angel Fire, NM and Deer Valley, UT.

Usually noted for his Super D performances, Lindsley has won three consecutive Semi-Pro Downhill events at Angel Fire, Deer Valley, and Crested Butte. Lindsley points out that the gravity events now require a bike that is light enough to pedal and handle well, but still rugged enough to withstand the punishment of all-out DH racing. Lindsley’s success in DH is complemented by ongoing strong results in Pro Super D events: Ariel currently stands second (to teammate Mike West) in the 2007 Mountain State Cup series. West continues to amaze the racing world by showing his capabilities and the versatility of the Maverick MonoLink suspension in a full range of mountain bike events, including Super D, DH, Short Track, and Cross Country. Mike competes in as many as four different events on any given weekend, gaining wins or other podium appearances on a regular basis. Mike is the defending Mountain States Cup Super D champion, and leads the 2007 cup series with wins at Angel Fire and Crested Butte.

Abby Hippely specializes in gravity events, and has ridden her ML8 to podium finishes in the women’s Pro DH category at Angel Fire, Deer Valley and Crested Butte; plus a Super D win at Angel Fire.
