    Ruhrbau 4X Cup goes Poland!

The Czech 4X Cup was here before the fourcross became official at the UCI Mountainbike World Cup. This season we are running already the volume number six, thanks to the new title sponsor also called the Ruhrbau 4X Cup 2007.

Now on coming weekend of August 11-12 – in the very first time – the Czech 4X Cup will cross the boarders of the Czech Republic and round three will be held on the well known race course in Szczawno Zdrój, Poland!

Three years after his victory at European 4X Championships, Michal Prokop is coming back to Szczawno Zdrój to challenge current series leader Tomas Slavik of GT Czech, Kamil Tatarkovic of Kona Les Gets or Prokop’s team mate Lukas Tamme to fight for leader‘s jersey that Slavik captured while Prokop battled for another Jeep King of the Mountain victory. Also, there is the last ticket available to ride this year’s fourcross Worlds in Czech colors and it will be given to the best of not yet qualified riders. Szczawno Zdrój will decide! So, you can await hard fights in front of huge crowds. Just come and try how this international cooperation works.

    The Ruhrbau 4X Cup 2007:

    ü 02.-03.06. Prerov, Czech Republic

    ü 04.-05.08. Sumperk, Czech Republic

    ü 11.-12.08. Szczawno Zdroj, Poland

ü 25.-26.08. Prague Polis XIII, Czech Republic

    ü 22.-23.09. Litomerice, Czech Republic

Only two weeks after the race in Poland there will be Prague the place to come! The only 4X track inside any world’s capital, called Polis XIII that was opened with huge SEAT 4X Masters in May 2006 is ready to host top 4X riders again.

The last round will be held in Litomerice, just about 70 km from northern of Prague. The course there was changed before each race but always the top of what we have here in the Czech Republic.

How to get to Szczawno Zdrój?

The 4X race course in Szczawno Zdrój

The race course is located in nice spot of the city park called Sloneczna Polana. This place already hosted couple of international 4X events headed by the European Championships 2004 or this year’s Festina Night Race with Brian Lopes on the start list. The carefully maintained course provided also with lamps belongs to the still very popular group of BMX like type of 4X tracks on not very steep hill and without any rocks, roots or similar “natural” obstacles. First and last straight are the best places to pass. Visit http://www.4x.cz/index.php?page=home&article=313 to see how the course looks like.
