Norco Promotes New Vp Of Merchandising And Vp Of Bicycle Division

-- Congratulations to Dave Overgaard & Martin Tammik! --

Jim Harman, President of Norco Products ltd, is pleased to announce the promotion of two long-time Norco employees; David Overgaard has been promoted to Vice-President of Bicycle Division, and Martin Tammik has been promoted to Vice-President of Merchandising..

Dave Overgaard graduated from UBC in 1986 with a Bachelors degree. Dave joined Norco in 1986 as a Junior Buyer, moved quickly into a position as a Product Manger and became the Bicycle Division Manager in 1999. Dave brings with him a lot of passion, experience, and knowledge so we are confident he will excel as he assumes a more prominent role within Norco.

Martin Tammik completed his BSc degree in 1987 and worked with Pedlar Cycles in Toronto before joining Norco in 1990. Martin started in the warehouse and moved into a position as a merchandising assistant shortly after. Through the 1990's Martin served Norco as a After-market Parts Buyer and later as a Soft Goods Buyer for clothing and gloves. In January 2000, Martin was promoted to Division Manager of Parts & Accessories. His key achievements while in that position include product and brand development within the Activa, Axiom, and Mace brands. With Martinís strong leadership abilities and considerable experience, we are positive Norco will only benefit from having him take on a more signifigant role within the company.

Norco is known in the Canadian market for providing exceptional customer service, and that reputation is largely built on the quality and hard work of our staff. Weíre proud to see two of our most dedicated employees step into key leadership positions in the company.
