WHISTLER, BC, July 18, 2006– Kokanee Crankworx’s après and after dark events will pack patios and guarantee good times every night of the festival. Free live shows on the Mainstage at the base of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, the Kokanee Aftershok DJ series and the Jim Beam Party Crew will keep the good times flowing every night of Kokanee Crankworx July 22-30, 2006.
“Kokanee Crankworx’s après and after dark line-up has really stepped it up this year,” says Rob McSkimming, VP of Business Development at Whistler Blackcomb. “We’ve gone from three live music acts to eight on the Mainstage this year and the Kokanee Aftershok DJ series will keep après lively on some of Whistler’s best patios.”
Mainstage acts include Whistler favourites She Stole My Beer and Whole Lotta Led as well as Catlow, Sweatshop Union, YUCA & On Holiday (CFOX Seeds Winners), Etwinz, and Rastrillos.
The Kokanee Aftershok DJ series, featuring DJ Czech, Foxy Moron, Vinyl Ritchie, Kori K and Mat the Alien, will provide the soundscape on Whistler’s hottest patios. Hit après with the Kokanee Glacier Girls at the GLC, Citta’s and the Longhorn Saloon and enter to win prizes including tickets to the uber exclusive De La Soul concert Saturday, July 29 at the GLC.
And for a nightlife that will be impossible to forget, don’t let the Jim Beam Party Crew leave you behind. Touring some of the great clubs and bars in Whistler, the Jim Bean Ladies know where the party’s at and will show you around in true Whistler style. The party starts on Saturday, July 22 and the good times will continue all week long in nightclubs including Buffalo Bill’s, Tommy Africa’s, The Longhorn, Moe Joe’s, Savage Beagle, and Garfinkel’s.
Besides hopping après and after dark action, Kokanee Crankworx boasts family-friendly village events happening daily through the festival.

The third annual Kokanee Crankworx Mountain Bike Festival is set to go off July 22 to 30 in Whistler, BC. Expanding to nine days of serious excitement both on and off the hill, the festival showcases Whistler as the ultimate biking playground by combining impressive stunt sessions and mind-blowing speed events with the world’s best mountain bikers competing for cash and prizing totaling over $30,000.
