Eatough Pursues Nue Title, Sets Sights On Eas 24 Hours Of Moab

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Waterloo, WI) Renowned Trek/VW endurance racer Chris Eatough has already had an outstanding season. With 3 NUE 100-miler wins (and the current series leader), a USA Cycling 24-hr National Solo Championship title at the 24 Hours of Nine Mile and a win at the grueling 7-day BC Bike Race all under his belt, he’s looking for more challenges.

The results of Shenandoah Mountain 100 will prove a pivotal moment in establishing his lead in the increasingly competitive NUE Series, taking place in Harrisonburg, VA on September 2nd.

But hundred mile races aren’t all he has planned for the season - Chris has decided to focus on the EAS 24 Hours of Moab as the big finish for his race season. “Granny Gear continually attracts world class athletes to its Moab event, and I want to be where the competition is. Not to mention the race is just plain fun.”

While other 24 hour races have risen and fallen, Granny Gear’s 24 Hours of Moab has been a mainstay. At 14.9 miles, it’s the longest 24-hour course around, and its technical challenges draw competition and participation that few races see.

Larid Knight of Granny Gear said, “I'm really excited to hear that Chris Eatough is coming to Moab. Chris has the technical skills and the fitness to give the field a run for their money but there are a lot of competitors who have been eager to see Eatough show up at Moab so they could match him on this epic course.”
