Chris King Precision Components To Support Hans Rey’s Wheels4Life with Second Special

    Edition Component Series
    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Portland, OR, August 31, 2007 - Chris King® Precision Components is partnering with Wheels4Life in the promotion of a special edition component series based on the Chris King DreadSet™. The new series will reflect similar efforts taken by the company to promote the Pretty and Strong special edition pink component series in support of breast cancer research since 2004.

Wheels4Life is a non-profit charity that provides new bicycles at no cost to people in need around the world. Hans Rey, founder of Wheels4Life, chose the colors red, gold, black and green to represent this new organization and began using the Chris King DreadSet on his Team GT® bicycles. As Hans is among the company's longest running sponsorship athletes, Chris and the team at Chris King were eager to create a permanent program in support of Hans' Wheels4Life efforts.

“Hans understands the important role of the bicycle in our planet’s future,” says company spokesman Chris DiStefano. “His organization is lean and efficient, ensuring that donations result in bicycles in the places where they are most needed. Those bicycles go on to provide a value much greater than the money that paid for them. Ask anyone who counts on their bike what it’s worth and their answer will be a lot more than just dollars and cents.”

Hans Rey adds, “For us, bicycles are recreational equipment, while for some people they can mean survival or profoundly change a life. Companies like Chris King understand that giving the gift of mobility in the form of bicycles is a wonderful cause.”
Contributions from the sale of every special edition item will be made to Wheels4Life. The Wheels 4Life special edition component series is comprised of the following eight items:

    1" NoThreadSet™ Sealed Bearing Headset
    1 1-8" NoThreadSet™ Sealed Bearing Headset
1" Headset Spacer Kit, 12mm stack
    1 1-8" Headset Spacer Kit, 12mm stack
    1 1-8" Headset Spacer Kit, 46mm stack
    Special Edition T-shirt
    Special Edition Water Bottle
    Special Edition Decal

Everyone knows the dread promote more than peace love and happiness. King should just flip the top 2 colors and support an obscure country rather than a doper culture. No?

flipping color sequence will not disuade people from misinterpreting the meaning here, much the way you have. "Rally 'round the Red, Gold, Black and Green" is more than a Lyric... it's, as stated in the release, the gererally recognized colors of Africa...If you think it means something else you probably are not as in touch as you think you are.

Have a nice weekend on your bike!

Hey I'm Lithuanian yellow green red, and I don't believe Black is a color, just an absence of color
