Is this the last Shuttle launch? When does the Space Station drop to Earth?

Is this the last Shuttle launch? When does the Space Station drop to Earth into a million fragment? 2010? 2015?

The Space Shuttles are dead meat, past their prime, expired, finito, caput.

Continuing the use of the Space Shuttles borders on criminality. The Astronauts are not safe anymore in the space junk.

The new Space Shuttle system Orion will never happen, unless education is cut back, social services are cut back, Iraq and Afghanistan wars are terminated.

The Space Shuttle program was a bust. It flew a small percentage of the intended missions, the turnaround 5 times longer than planned, and the cost was through the roof.

There is no money in the USA for Orion, only a 9 trillion dollar debt, or a compromised population.

China is not going to lend the USA the money to build Orion, they are trying to figure out how to get rid of TBs, not increase their holdings.

The Space Station is dead, manned frights to the Moon are dead, manned flights to Mars are dead. Nasa is dead. Nasa was only devised to siphon taxpayer dollars to the Military Industrial Complex and associated companies.

Time for American citizens to reclaim their Government, their future.

Are the bragging rights for a Man on the Moon worth the possibility of another Katrina debacle?

The future of space travel probably lies less in government organizations and move in privately owned ones. Whether or not thats a good thing...........?

Canada depends on America for its space program. Most of the junk you have in space was put there by Americans. link

Face it, Canada needs America. You wouldn't even have hockey if it wasn't for American money.

Now put some more vinegar on your french fries.

The World would rejoice without America.

Everybody would be that much more prosperous without parasites.

Cooperation with other countries would ensue and America would be soon forgotten..

When was space-flight safe?

Are you truely this stupid? Or just intensely jealous?

Yes the world would rejoice with such a huge part of the global economy gone. This has to be the most ridiculous post I have ever seen. You just assume that America is the reason countries dont get along....?! Sorry to inform you that people have been pissed at each other long before America became a global player.

There would be no Canada without America. The majority of everything that Canada imports to survive comes from America. We absorb the majority of everything you export.

Without America, Canada is nothing.

You even learn our language while we care not about your bastardized version of French.

Canadian regulations force all radio stations in Canada to play at least 35% Canadian music otherwise American music would drown out your home grown artists.

Yep...people and countries have been at odds for a long time, but this is the first time in history (that I know of) that there has been such a global hate-on for one country and its leader...you can go the most remote parts of the world and find that people there have an opinion of Bush (usually negative)

The USofA no longer matters in the world's economy, as you can see, that for the first time, they're about to go into a recession, housing market is collapsing, its drowning in a sea of debt, the middle class is shrinking...and nobody cares.

China, Europe, and Russia are now in the economic driver's seat...and America slept while they got there

Actually you liked it so much that you bought the company.

Anyway...watch out in the Olympics...you'll have to beat 2 teams from Canada or 2 athletes to win gold...Quebec, our new nation within a nation, plans on fielding its own sports teams for international events

Quebec group pushes for own national team

Now that Canada has officially recognized Quebeckers as forming a nation, what better way to mark the occasion than to let the province form its own hockey team for the 2008 world championship, according to a Quebec City group of fervent hockey fans.

Loco, I think my daddy can beat up your daddy. In any case my close friend's daddy designed the damn tiles on those things, you know those that keep falling off.

I expect a greater distance from knee-jerk nationalism from all of you, really.

Is the shuttle dead? I hope not, it is part a dream, a grand dream.
Is the shuttle only American? I always saw it as transcending those artificial limitations.

Maybe Canada should get off its lazy backwoods a$$es and make a replacement.

Seriously, if it weren't for The United States, Canada's GDP would still be based on beaver pelts.

My fuc.king god JM, they made the arm? BRILLIANT! They made an arm!!!

An arm!! And it's robotic!

But without a space program, how are we going to log and mine the other planets, after already having done so on the earth first?
