Oh... some of the components on this build required a few tools here and there ie: stuff like a park Tool headset press which I also used for the Hope PF92 BB. A Bike Stand certainly helps to build a new bike from scratch not that this is my first MTB that I have built (it's my 4th). I just rebuilt my Norco Aline DH bike which cost about a quarter of what the Pivot cost but at least I got what I wanted in the end for both bikes

It's very satisfying to be able to build a bike and then figure out what's not quite right replace the not right stuff then dial it in and yeah ..Happy Trails

I Need to know if someone has a picture of a pivot mach 6 complete bike boxed prior to assembly, as shipped by pivot.
Im about to get a new one (going from med to large) and as im asking a friend to bring it with him (i live in Perú) i Need to know The box size.
Does it come with The rear wheel mounted?
I Bought my med one through pink bike and it was shipped by The previous owner so i dont know how pivot ships Them.

After riding my 29" bikes for a while I got back on the M5.7c and remembered it's amazing.

I also stopped by the Pivot site and looked at their demo sale out of curiosity. I saw the XL 5.7c they have which is converted to 650b (same size as mine) and realised it's absolutely not worth changing anything on my bike to fit 650b. That's wheels, tyres, fork and revised shock.
It's way too much money for far too little benefit. I'm sure I'd notice it, but not all of it would be positive.

Having always thought it was a marginal gain it took seeing the size of the wheel on the rear triangle to confirm it for me. It's designed as 26" and wins just like that. :^)

It looks like your sag indicator might go into your water bottle when your suspension compresses. You might want to check before you go ride. It may just be the angle in the pic. But worth a check.

Replaced my e13 Trs+ wheels with red Chris King hubs and red Velocity Blunt SS rims laced with black Sapim spokes. Threw some massive 2.4 Continetal Trail Kings on for good measure. Still breaking in the rear hub but extremely pleased with the new grip. What have you done to your Pivot Cycle lately?-image.jpg

I weighed my 5.7C the other day. Thought I would post the results as it's hard to find actual frame weights these days.

2013 Pivot Mach 5.7 Carbon Medium 26" frame, including 2013 Fox CTD shock and 3 cable rub protectors (~<10g) = 2.56kg. 2.62kg including stock dt swiss rear axle.

    Let's see 2014 Mach6

    1) Got the new rocker linkage....totally worth it!!!
    2) Sent my CC DBAir in for service after 18 months..losing air and needs to be serviced
    3) Sent my KS Integra off to be serviced roller bearings are shot as well as installing updated actuator
    4) Got some LB 35mm wide Carbon hoops about 3 months ago...DANG!!! Really like the wide footprint of the tires now.

Other than that...no complaints on the bike. Love it.

Future mods..none really. Might buy a new rear Onyx hub.....just because
    they are bad-ass!!!

Replaced the original headset with a Cane Creek 40
    Overhauled the Fox RP23
Installed Thomson carbon low-rise 750mm bar
Installed Spesh Butcher 2.3 tubeless tire up front

That's sweet SDMTB'er, I was thinking about doing the same to my 429 as well. Post back how it rides. The touch of green on the fork decals is sweet too.
What have I done to mine? Well I took a digger on October 10 and broke my femur, don't worry the bike was fine. Ever since I've been in a state of recovery. So I had to buy a new Raleigh RXC cross bike and a pair of slick tires for the rollers to get me back in shape over the long MN winter.

Swapped the 26" 170 coil Lyrik for a 27.5 160 RCT3 Pike. Added a Vittoria Deamion 27.5 wheel set outfitted with Vittoria Goma tires (2.4 front and 2.25 rear). I have heard that the Goma's are a tall tire but I wish that Pivot had clearanced the rear triangle a bit more when they updated the frame for 27.5 wheels. The Goma fits but just barely. Anyway, I'm liking the black fork look as opposed to the all white look that I had before. Now it's time to see if there is anything to the whole 27.5 craze.

Do it. The fork is amazing and finally my bike rides as I have always pictured it. The 130 feels like it compliments the 100mm rear shock better than the 120. No impact climbing, that extra bit of travel really helps. I also put an additional reducer in, dropped the pressure 10 psi lower than factory recommended, and adjusted the low speed compression 5 clicks and now I get better small bump compliance without fork dive or bottoming out.

Side note is that the 32 I had on there was a 2016 model so the comparison is fair.
