    Stolen Mach5?

Hey guys, I think I may have found someone's stolen Mach 5. Anyone lose one in Arizona?
Basically there's a girl on CL who's selling her boyfriends Pivot but she doesn't know very much about it. It's just a hunch but it seems very much like she's speaking stolenese.

Here's my email with the accused.... Read them in reverse:

    How about CLoser to 250-300?

Here's the links to her two links:

    PIVOT BIKE FRAME

    pivot bike frame

She's willing to deliver it to my door for $225. It doesn't have a shock on it but it does look like its in great shape.

yeah, I'd be sick if one of my bikes were stolen... just trying to help another brother out if I can. Looking at getting the serial number right now.

any one know what the serial numbers should be on a Pivot? she says it just says x5-L but that doesnt sound right to me.

well, I'm at my end with this. She's offered me the frame for $200 and I can't conclude if its stolen or not. It's a really good deal for what looks like a stolen large Mach 5. I tried.

The X5L isn't the serial number, it's just the factory size & model designation (Large Mach 5).

The serial number is at the other end of the bottom bracket. Although it is conveniently cropped out of the picture, the bit of bare aluminum at the bottom of the photo makes it look like it may have been filed off.
