    Mach 5.7 Semi-Weight Weenie Build

Just finished building my Mach 5.7c. Wanted it to be XC light but solid and trail-worthy.
Came to 11.4kg (25.2lbs) as pictured but that will drop to 11.2kg (24.7lbs) when I swap to my RockShox Revelation WC fork (or 11kg/24.2lbs with 2.4-inch Conti X-King tyres if I want to go XC racing). Now to get it dirty...
    The medium 2013 frame/shock was 2,531g (5.57lbs) if anyone's interested.

Very nice and light build. I've noticed Enve AM wheels, but what brand/type are the hubs?

Hubs are Tune King & Kong, built with DT Revolution spokes. Wheels came to 1,370g for the pair - not bad given the 24.5mm internal width.

Yes, really not bad. Mine are 21mm internal width at 1,403g (with NT yellow tape), but will go few grams down converting front to QR12RWS (own standard ; conversion of DT Swiss 240S DB front hub (not oversize) to Fox QR15 fork with adaptors).

Just cleaned after a dirty ride.
Love this bike, fast in uphill and strong and playful in downhill

Loving the FB with the full 650b set up Nothing but enhancement to an already great bike; Oh, and it doesn't lose ANY of the playful snappy qualities! I put in a medium volume reducer to help with the small bump harshness of the large volume RP23, but it is to progressive now and not as good of a climbing platform. Going to try the small reducer next.

MTB Pilot - awesome set up. I was due to go to Arizona this fall and was hoping to test my Mach 5.7 on those trails, but didn't happen. I love my mach 5.7, but I also ride a 650b - SS converted SC Chameleon and I agree with the features of the wheel size. However, just so I don't go nuts and fully enjoy my Mach 5.7 which is a great bike. I have made up my mind that will wait till Pivot comes up with their full blown 650b trailbike version, which will be a few years!!!!

    My Steed

    2012 5.7 X0 Build Large 27 3/4 lbs
    Easton Haven Stem 70mm
Easton Havoc Carbon Handlebar 750 MM w/ Lizard Skin Peaty Grips
    Reverb Seatpost
X0 crank with Race Face 32T 1X10 w/ XTR Trail Pedals
    MRP Lopez Chain Guide
X9 Rear Der Type 2 small cage
Maxxis Minnion DHF 2.25 1 ply front
Kenda Slant 6 rear both converted tubeless

I have her built for the more aggresive side of coss country. She climbs really nice and descends great too!!! Id like to get some carbon wheels but Id hate to drop so much money to get them brutalized on their first ride here in Phoenix, AZ...as far as any other changes or upgrades Im thinking of buying some Specialized Ground Control 2.25 for the rear and a Purgatory Control 2.25 for the front. Id like to see how that tire combo compares to the ones on my bike. I also want to try a Havoc or Haven 50mm stem.

I kind of like it too. It's not stock is it? I could be mistaken but I thought the 5.7c was only available in matte carbon with color graphics.

Definitely not stock. I just bought the 429c frame kit and swapped parts from my 2010.

It's a stock Mach 429 carbon frame, not the Mach 5.7c one
