Very nice. I'm a 650b believer in fact I have a 650b SS hard tail as my second bike, but never thought about venturing with my Mach 5.7, but will be interested to hear your experience once you had a chance to ride it a few times.

Only have 2 rides, 20 miles on it in the last 24 hrs, but so far I'm loving the advantages of the bigger front wheel on my FB. Definitely rolls over the chunder here in AZ easier, but has also slow down the twitchy steering and made the slow tech climbs more enjoyable. I only run a 160mm in the front, so my HA went from 67.3 to 66.8; Feels good on the downs!

Still need to dial things in ala shifting and headset and bar position and put on ESI Racer grips. If the 650b Crest doesn't float my boat a matching Arch EX will go on.

Here's my "new" ride. I am new to Pivot and this is a 2009 frame which I purchased from a fellow member. Final weight (w/o saddlebag) is 25.34lbs.

Looks awesome, sir hawg. Bravo and congrats...I think you're in for a lot of miles and smiles. Incredibly versatile bike, reliable, noise-free. Mine will have to be pried from my cold, dead hands. Cheers...

Cool-blue Rhythm My Mach 5.7 build

After my previous bike (Custom Giant Trance X) was stolen last month, a generous check from my insurance company allowed me to become a Pivot owner. I only have a couple of rides on it, and I'm still finding the perfect bar height and suspension settings, but it really is an amazing machine. I couldn't be happier.

    Parts list:
Frame: 2012 Pivot Mach 5.7, black anodized, size M
    Fork: 2013 Fox 32 Talas 150
    Brakes: Avid x0, 180 front/160 rear
    Shifters: Sram x9 2x10
    Cranks: Sram x9 2x10, 39/26
    Chain: Sram pc1091
    Cassette: Sram 1070 12/36
F Der: Shimano XT direct mount
R Der: Sram x7 (waiting on the x9 Type 2 to arrive)
    Headset: Cane Creek 110
    Pedals: Crank Brothers Candy 3
    Wheels: Easton Haven
    Tires: Schwalbe Hans Dampf, 26x2.35
    Stem: Easton Haven, 70mm
    Bars: Easton Haven Carbon
    Grips: Ergon GS1 Leichtbau
    Seat: WTB Rocket V SLT
    Seatpost: Crank Brothers Kronolog

Thanks Clayton! Yeah, it should be able to handle anything on Galbraith that I can throw at it.
Actually, I found out after I bought the frame from Competitive Cyclist that Fanatik was a Pivot dealer. For some reason they're not listed on the dealer locator on Pivot's site!? I've never seen a Pivot at Fanatik, but I clearly should have done some better research.
However, I did get quite a few parts from Fanatik, so I at least kept *some* of it local!

Very nice! I know it's early in the game for you with your new 5.7 but so far, can you describe the pros and cons between the Trance X & 5.7? Have fun with it!!!
