Pivot Firebird x0 front derailleur adjustment

Upgraded a 2013 26" XT build to X0. Everything looks good but front derailleur. Because it's direct mount - can only use XT (one I have) or XTR.
Front shifting is less then perfect. The problem seems to be in SRAM shifter, pulling less cable then Shimano's XT. Need the cage to move a bit further.
I'm not limiting the range of der. motion artificially. Both "L" and "H" bolts are not engaged.
Does anyone have and/or solved this problem?
Can I modify XT derailleur? Is XTR more adjustable?

    Small correction.
Cable pull for old Shimano shifters and new Sram might be the same or close. The distance between chain rings is bigger in x0, so I need to address it somehow.

One thing you may want to try is to fine tune the BB spacing on the drive side. We set the bikes up stock with a 2.5mm spacer between the BB and the frame in order to give the chain clearance between the small ring and the floating mount (that's designed into the frame's chain line). You might be able to use a smaller spacer to bring the cranks closer to the frame but I don't know if it's gonna be enough to correct the shifting issue without having chain rub in the small ring.

Thanks for the advise. I'll check the spacers, don't remember what I used.
That might help if we assume the cage moves is not exactly as much (1:1) as cable pull.
The XT derailleur I have came with the original XT setup: 2x10, 24x32 front, 11x36 rear.
I'm not sure if it is 2 or 3 speed.
Is there a difference in cage travel for Shimano 2 and 3 speed derailleurs for the same amount of pull?

With the Shimano shifters you have a selector switch to change the ratio for 3x or 2x setup. It makes a BIG difference in shifting! The der itself isn't really an issue as long as the ring's size is within the range that it's designed for. I don't know that the amount of throw varies between der models for the same amount of cable pulled though....
