Finally got a buddy of mine to pull the trigger on a Mach 429c after working on him for a while. We had spoken about how the Kenda Slant 6's wouldn't quite be dialed for Pacific Northwest riding and that some Ardents may treat him a bit better. He just took delivery of a full Pivot build decked out with 2.2 Ardent Races.
Looks like the Mach 4c and the Phoenix have Maxxis rubber and the rest (Mach 6, Les, etc.) still show up with Kenda tires.
I for one am pleased to see the transition and wouldn't be sad to see versatile Maxxis tires on all builds (specifically the Mach 6, a little DHR II/DHF or HRII combination may help the builds). Just my humble opinion but interesting to see the 429c running change.
