    Pivot 5.7C and Chainstay Guard

    Hi

I've had my Pivot 5.7C for 6 days, 16 hours and 42 minutes and I cannot make my mind up about adding a chainstay guard to the bike.

On one side there is the fact that the chainstay is rubberised carbon and is probably quite resilient to scuffing.

And on the other side there is the fact that I do not want it the rubberised carbon chainstay to start looking scruffy.

I figured that the best thing to do would be to seek the opinion of you chaps

Any opinions and what do others with carbon Pivots do?

That rubber guard is surprisingly tough. I'm still running one of the original samples on my M4X and even after well over 2 years of riding it's still in excellent shape. That stuff tends to just wear down more like a tire than to get scruffy/fuzzy.

    Thanks for the tip

After a week of riding it still looks shiny & new, I shall leave as is
