Pivot 429 vs Devinci Atlas 29

I think I have narrowed my search for a fast versatile aggro XC / trail 29'er to these 2 - king of like my current Yeti asr 5 but with big wheels

any experience / comparisons of these? they seem similar on paper

429 alloy not feasible as far as i am concerned in the UK - well documented mud clearance issues (just seen one in the flesh for the first time) so it would have to be a Pivot carbon (2350!) or Devinci Atlas Carbon which is a fair bit cheaper (2000) or the alloy version (1500)

would run either with 130 ish forks I think

slight concern is that there may be a 5 inch Pivot in the wings.....

    thanks

Pivot 429 vs Devinci Atlas 29

FYI - I recently saw a new alloy in the shop and it unlike mine had a dimple in the bridge. Unless you need high volume, a MK II or a Ground Control 2.1 will provide good clearance.

ermm the one I saw had about 1mm clearance - not sure if it had a dimple or not. Not sure what tyre it was - it was a small treaded 2.2 though, so looked like anything like a 2.25 nobby nic would be tight though
