    New Mach 429 expected soon?

Any insider info on new Pivots?
I'm considering buying a 429a and wondering if a new (2014) version will be out soon - then I'd hopefully have a choice of discounted current frame or the latest and greatest. But I'd rather not wait for more than 2-3 months.

Perhaps nobody here, but I guarantee you there is somebody (several, probably... all who work at Pivot) who knows the answer to this!

429a with the shortened chainstays of the 429c maybe Please. A nice straight non-curvy downtube?

Why the need for a straight downtube?

I'm not a fan of swoopy tubes either - especially the downtube. Viewed from the side - I like the classic look of nearly straight tubes. These radical S-shapes like on many a Specialized seem to be more about a signature look than for function, and everyone else just looks like 'me too'.

What he said. Pure aesthetics. I am fully aware that the top swoop gives fork crown clearance and the bottom swoop promotes water bottle potential, but I say leave the big S swoop for Specialized. IMHO.
