Monarch Plus on Pivot Mach 5.7?

My RP23 is due for service and with how much service costs I'm thinking of replacing with a Monarch Plus. Any issues with running this shock on this bike? What tune is recommended for the 5.7 and DW-Link suspension (low, medium, or high)? Thanks.

The biggest issue that you'll find in mounting the shock is that you'll not be able to use the water bottle/cage anymore.
Medium tune should be the proper tune.

The original Mach 5.7 alloy only had a bottle cage mount underneath the frame (which is basically unusable) so no worries there.

I owe a Pivot 5.7C with shock Fox RP23 but would like to switch to a heavier shock without loosing the water bottle option. Did you try to mount the shock with the body towards the rear? From the pics of the shock and the frame, I have still hope that it would fit but it's a matter of millimeters. Thanks!

You'll still lose the space because the shock's external reservoir will move forward into the cage with rear triangle compression.
