Pics of my teammate at the Kamikaze Games

    Dual Slalom

One of the big drops at Mammoth. This is the one you can see from the Gondola, Technorock maybe?

    Overall results for the team

    Kamikaze DH Pro 1st
Dual Slalom Pro 6th and 8th
    Enduro Pro 8th and 18th
Enduro Expert Class 18th and DNF
    Enduro Sport 3rd

Not a bad showing for the team. Coming from sea level the altitude killed us. Unfortunately I was the DNF after missing a turn on Course 1. There were 10 or 15 of us that missed it for whatever reason.

Shots of me and my Mach 8 in the French Alps a few weeks back. Bike was, unsurprisingly, awesome fun over there.

Great edit zig zag. I really appreciate the effort it took to put this together.

I assume you did this all solo from the blooper reel at the end. Any tips for doing this type of edit. Tripod, camera positioning, editing software, etc?

That drop looked sick from the lift, but I never made my way over there to check it out up close. Pretty amazing Pro Downhill win for Marco on a Cannondale with a Lefty!
Bummer you missed a turn on stage 1. I had a mechanical 100 yards from the top of stage 1: Broken derailleur hanger, two bent chainring teeth, bent chain, and the derailleur cable housing at my shock blew apart from cable rub due to shitty cable routing design! (I knew the cable housing needed to be rerouted to continuous but I procrastinated.) I didn't have all the parts to fix on trail, so I packed up my chain and derailleur & skateboarded my bike to the bottom of stage 1 (I actually passed a guy while chainless in the tech section!) When I got to the bottom it took me a while to fix everything & I had to beg the lift operator to let me on to race stage 4 (2'nd stage.) In order to not DNF, I had to make it to the top before the last racer left the gate. I Pedaled and pushed & ran my way to the start & got there with a few racers left at the gate, stoked but exhausted. Cramping, I got 5'th in my cat for that stage & rallied for a 2'nd on the last stage. The Mach 6 with a Fox 36 was plenty of bike, but mass-mechanical issues killed me. Fun, challenging course, I'll probably try it next year. I've done every race in the series & this was the first time I saw other M6's, I think I saw 4!

Marco's run was incredible. The Enduro courses really suited someone like Lopes because of all the pedalling. Way more time to be made there over the DH sections. What class were you racing? Awesome results. Sitting here just now I realized where I missed the turn. I did not make the left turn off Paper Route after that small uphill section. I was suffering bad on the climbs and my lungs were not happy at all.

I thought Marco was more of an Enduro rider than Downhill, after Northstar & Mammoth.
Your Nomad was probably the perfect Kamikaze Downhill course bike, not sure if it or the M6 would have been better for the Kamikaze Enduro, still haven't demo'd a Nomad.
Paper Route...that was towards the bottom of the 2'nd stage (original stage 4.) I can't remember much of that cuz I was severely oxygen deprived at that point in the race! I'm in the 50 and up class, they only have one category for us!

And just to make sure I keep contributing, my buddy on his M6 doing the Technorock drop at Mammoth

For those of you that haven't seen it there is a big intimidation factor on this one since you have to ride off some not smooth rocks into the drop. Also, it doesn't look like it but the landing is about 6-8' down and 5-6' out. This is the roll in

My favorite section at Snow Summit Bike Park. Mach 6 handled it like a champ w/ the Fox 36.

HR 2's front and rear. Im switching it up to the Magic Mary up front and the Minion DHR 2 on the rear shortly. I have a friend who just put a Magic Mary up front and the Rock Razor on the rear. Waiting to here how that turns out.

Cheers, since putting a Cane creek DBAirCs on the back to replace the Float X, its improved the ride and handling immensely.

I don't get many action shots as I spend a lot of time alone. A recent trip out to Lewis River gave us an opportunity to cross 118 overflowing/dammed creeks, lots of blow down and stay completely soaked at sub 40* for 6 hours.

We made the most of it. Aaron did grab a nice little shot of me manualing down a short descent into on of the many creeks.

That is pretty suspect - both tires and both shocks? Not likely to occur with even the most aggressive riding.

Agree that looks staged, although I was bottoming out my Float X shock until I increased the spacer. How do you slam a fork like that if it's properly setup? Especially a 2015 36, which that looks like. That's giving Pivot a bad rep that they don't deserve.

They are FOX products that failed, not the bike....so you never know....?

Plus...this isn't really action pics of the MACH 6...slightly OFF TOPIC.
