    Mach 5.7c rear skewer type?

What type of rear skewer is compatible with the Mach 5.7c?

    Syntace x-12 type
    Shimano E-thru

I think all that matters is the type of threading it has. I'm looking to replace mine with one of the tune skewers and there are apparently two different types and I'm wondering which to get.

    Thanks!

We use the DT Swiss RWS Axle, it has a custom thread to Match the Shimano threading pattern. Your dealer can order these from us, if you need one. Retail is around $45.

As I mentioned above this post the DT RWS axle we use is custom for PIVOT. If you need a replacement your dealer can order one for you. The one sold a CRC will not work bit has the wrong thread.

There's no reason a shimano axle won't work is there?

Dan said it was the shimano thread pattern. So the shimano 142x12 skewer will work right?

No, the head on the Shimano Skewer will not fit on our non-drive side with out shims, or washers. And even then, you may not have enough thread contact for it to work correctly.

You can buy the DT Swiss RWS Axle from your dealer, and it comes with the frame.
