    Looks cool vikb,
I was looking at other Mach 6 posts where dirt is getting in between the seat tube & pivot, wondering about making a mud flap thing that utilizes the direct mount attachment. Like you, maybe when work settles down I'll put some thought into it.

Nicer 3D printed cover on right. Keep in mind when viewed from a normal distance you can't see the fine detail of a macro shot so it looks much smoother. This part is nice enough I would mount it on my bike.

I'm going to make up 5 of them so if you want one of these let me know I'll ship one off to you.

My boss seems keen to layup some carbon and CNC some covers out of that so we may go that route. Not 100% on carbon or AL yet.

Nicer covers are at least 1 - 2 weeks out depending on business levels at work, but we'll get 'er done!

And if you take a 3D printed cover you are welcome to ask for a nicer carbon or AL cover when I have them ready.

Just make sure I have your mailing address via PM and note that you want a 3D printed part.

If you want a CNC'd part don't send me your address yet just to keep confusion to a minimum.

Wow, really cool idea! I'd grab one for sure, but being in Oz it maybe too far for you to ship Let me know if this isn't the case and I'd be keen for one of the 3D or Carbon/AL, whichever is easiest for you!

Great work too, by the way!

It's never too far to help a rider out. Just think of the Trail Karma that's worth.

3D printing is easy and it's ready now. If you want a blingier one you'll need to wait 1-2 weeks.

Just PM me your address if you want the 3D printed version.

Got all the 3D printed covers done. They go out shortly.

Too busy at work to tackle anything else, but I am still on it. Just need a break in the madness!

BTW - you can finish those covers to match your bike or just to make them look nicer.

Sweet work. You're making a CNC'd one too? Is this also in carbon or is it Aluminum or Steel? Just curious.

My two options for the next phase are:

    1. Laying up a carbon sheet 8mm thick and CNC'ing it
    2. CNCing a sheet of AL - possibly anodizing it depending on $$

At the moment the AL path seems the easiest for me to get done. Particularly if I don't anodize it and let you guys paint to match your bikes.

My boss was hot and heavy on the idea of doing the part in carbon. Since I am using his machines, materials and other folks he's paying [ie. CNC operator] I'm not going to argue with him.

Hey guys since you offered to throw some $$ my way for these covers I decided to invest in a test fit jig to make sure they worked before I shipped them out. Don't say I didn't go that extra mile for you.

If you could each PayPal me $350 that would be great., Of course that means you get a 3D cover and then a nicer one later. Hahahaha.

In all seriousness the cover fits pretty good. You will need to take a tiny bit of material off one side of the locating ridge on the back to get it to sit perfectly on the bike, but that should take 60 seconds with an exacto knife or dremel tool. In the photo above you want to slide the cover towards the front of the bike 1mm.

Not perfection, but it does look way better than this ^^^^.

Thanks guys. Looking forward to the new ride after 5yrs+ on a Nomad. My GF got jealous and ordered a M6 as well. Here X0 complete [small = 27.8lbs w/o pedals] came with a DM cover.
