Here's my scenario.
I've purchased a 2011 Mach 4.
It has a standard HT angle of 70.8 with the 100mm fox fork with 470.9 ac
I'm gonna make two changes.
1. I'm going to use a 120mm fork.
2. I'm going to use the Cane Creek Angle set, which can change the HT angle by 1.5
What I'm trying to figure out is how those two mods will interact with a G2 fork (which I've found a great deal on).
With the orginal angle at 70.8, adding 20mm of AC will change the angle to ≈69.8. Then if I adjust the angleset to -1.5° would bring the HTA to ≈68.3. I'm comfortable with that. How do you guys see the G2 geometry of the fork affecting handling. The way I'm looking at is that the slacker head angle will slow down the steering and the G2 geometry will counter that to some degree.
What do you guys think?
Anyone ever put a G2 fork on a standard bike?
thanks for any input.
