Is there an online store where you can order the frame only? And how much does the frame cost?

They just received a shipment of Mach 6 frames.

I put in an order for a medium stealth (red/black) Mach 6 in mid-October at my LBS. I was told the wait time was about 10 weeks, putting the delivery in early 2014. I haven't received an update regarding the frame, so I'm assuming that's still the expected delivery date.

Ordered an XO1 Stealth build in August. Hoping it will be in next week, which is about when the bike shop expected suggested it would arrive. Waiting for a new bike is always painfull, especially when all the marketing hype leads you to believe the bikes are already in a warehouse gathering dust while you wait.

Thanks for the Info and you should be hearing from me sometime this spring so I can demo a Mach 6. My agenda is packed full until Xmas. Would it be possible to rent it for weekend so I can give it a proper test in Wallis?.......once the snow melts of course. Hmmm, the Mach 6 in Jeizinen, now that's a place to test a bike. He-he

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten any update as to when medium frame-only orders will begin shipping (specifically to the west coast/California). When I ordered my frame back in October I was told by my LBS that it was about 10 weeks out, putting the date around early 2014, which is right around the corner.

Anyone receive theres or have any info on when they might be shipping? Thanks.

I'm in Phoenix. Rage, my LBS, had a blue (think it was large)frame in stock and a black & yellow full build on their floor when I was there earlier this week. I'm not sure if they were waiting for pickup or if they were ordered for someone.
I believe frame orders were processed in the order they were placed. It's been my experience that bike shops don't always place orders the day you want them to. In my case I placed my order when they first announce the bike, then had to wait for them to produce a run of XL frames.

The wait was agonizing! But, it is a 2014 model.....

You're going to be stoked. The bike rides even better than it looks.

Got a call from my shop that my blue will not be available until early January, but I can have a large green now so I had them grab it. Like both colors, but a bit disappointed not to get my first choice.

Ordered a large black on Oct 9th from a shop in Nor Cal and still do not have a delivery date. With that said, I'm recovering from a bad crash and will not be riding anytime soon so I have not called or checked in with the shop in a while. It would be nice to have just so I can stare at it.

    RS Pike 150mm fork
    XX1 drivetrain
    ENVE AM 650b wheels
    KS Lev Integra post
    Shimano XTR trail brakes

I moved the XX1, brakes, and bar from my Ibis Mojo SL-R. The complete bike (after a couple of rides) weighed in at 26 lbs 14 oz.

Competitive Cyclist. They did notify me they had other color options available, but I'm holding out for the Stealth.

Originally wanted just a frame but told that was likely going to be even a longer wait.

As I'm under feet of ice and snow right now, waiting is no problem. For the most part Competitive Cyclist has been really good to deal with. The last I heard was a Feb arrival which is OK as long as I can ski.

27lbs!!?? Are you sure? I ask because my friend's small with exact same parts except Derby rims came to 28+. I mean 1+lbs more because of rims and maybe the seat and pedals but the seat and pedals are nearly the same as yours.

If that's true, that is an awesome weight for a 6" travel rig!

    Wink Mach 6

Received mine from Cycle Progression tonight! Huge props to Pivot, Alex and Emil at CP for getting the frame to me on time and built up during the busy holday season! Dave at speeddream.com built up another set of outstanding wheels at a great price, also delivering as expected during the holidays. You guys rock. This is going to be so much fun!

I measured the bike on a new Park scale. I've only measured a few bikes on the scale, but all of the others seemed to be the expected weight. I'll try and weigh it on a friend's scale at some point to get a second data point.

I'm running Schwalbe HD and NN 2.35 tires setup tubeless, a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbano saddle, DT 240 hubs, a Bontrager Rhythm Pro carbon bar, and an Easton Haven Stem. Not sure if those differ enough from your friend's build to account for the weight difference.

Frame looks good. Although its upside down! What do you mean by attention to detail? I own an HD and a Mach 5.7c. So am familiar with the brands.

Cable guides, Iscg tabs, paint, downtube protection. I broke a couple of the cheapo cable guides on the top tube and the plastic downtube guard. Also my HD had some blems at the top of seat tube.

Interesting. I had read that they shipped with a headset and rear thru-axle. I must have mis-read the bit about the headset...thanks for the correction.

I can't say I'm displeased with the seatpost clamp. It's held tight and hasn't creaked or popped, or anything like that. Good to know others fit.

Do you guys think a 28T single ring up front will play nice with the Mach 6's DW Link suspension?

@vikb: 28T seems to work well on mine. It gives around the same low gearing as the 2x10 on my 429 and I don't spin out on the high gearing for local riding. It also keeps me out of the large rear cog which I understand can wear more quickly than the smaller rear cogs (XX1).

Thanks. I'm not worried about the gearing.

I'm concerned that the DW Link performs well with a 28T ring on the flats.

Some suspension designs don't play nice with smaller rings in single ring applications.

I have a 28T crank so I'll try it and see what happens. I can always buy a 30T ring if needed.

I run a 28-38,I get kickback at times on the 28 and feels less efficient then a bigger ring while climbing and spinning IMO.I like two ring gives me options,my typical rides goes from trials like tech to full out DH runs, having a 38 is actually pretty magical and find myself using it mostly and has improved my strength plus gets me off the seat on some climbs which I would never do before.works for me but different likes!

Did you get a clamp or QR? Mine came with a QR that I'll never use

I have three AM bikes right now; Ibis HDR 26/160 mode, Pivot Mach 6 and Spec Enduro 29 Comp. All three bikes have similar builds with XX1 (Pivot has XO1 carbon cranks to avoid the red stickers of XX1), Shimano trail brakes, etc. Both the HDR and Mach 6 have carbon wheels as well.

After riding the E29 for a few months I have decided it is not my cup of tea. Nice bike, but it does not fit my riding style and I post identical times to my 26 HDR on it. I also get really uncomfortable when things get steep on it due to the flex. Just does not hold a line well for me.

I think the HDR is one of the best bikes ever built. I am a complete Ibis fanboi because of their products and customer support. The HDR is amazing everywhere up, down, short sprints or epic XC rides it does everything well. I cannot recommend this bike highly enough. I ended up with the HDR accidentally due to an issue with my HD. I was disappointed that Ibis did not come out with a true 275 bike and was curious about the wheel size plus I like new stuff. That is how I ended up with the Mach 6.

I have three rides on my M6 so far, but all three have been great. Almost immediately I was up to speed on it. I really like the suspension curve on the Mach 6 combined with the Float X. I am a Fox hater, but they nailed this rear shock. To sum it up, my early impression is that this will be a very long term relationship.

That's good to hear. I wouldn't consider myself brand loyal (though I can be turned off by bad customer support), I just buy the best of the best (on a 3yr schedule ;-)) and prefer the DW link characteristics. For the intended purpose, my all time favorite bikes were the 429 and HD. Not sure how things will play out, whether the Mach6 will be at the same level or one step above my all time favorites. Great problem to have!

I'm using the NSB bash, a.k.a "North Shore Billet XX1 Rock Ring". Also requires the NSB XX1 spider, which is then used with the XX1 crank and ring.

thanks, my build came with a MRP which is about 3/4" bigger then needed on my 30t.
Will try to get smaller poly replacement otherwise look to NSB setup.

FYI - Received my Stealth X01 last week.
