    hammerschmidt?

Anyone get a Hammerschmidt to work on a Mach 5? If so, how did you deal with the bb?

Pivot now offers this. You can order it through Speedgoat:

That being said, I do not think that the dw-lik is optimized around such a small chainring.

Yeah, I have one of those (It doesn't really go on, or fit quite as precisely as it's implied). I'm more concerned about the whole specialized pressed fit bb that Pivot uses and how that whole thing would (or wouldn't) work with the Hammerschmidt. I'm kind of assuming it wouldn't since the bb on the Pivots aren't threaded either. However, people do some pretty innovative stuff to their rides and to achieve their ends, thus the post.

I don't think you'll get any better than that part. Some guys made something similar and have been running HS on their bikes for a while now in the SC section. Apparently the mount doesn't have to be quite a perfect as SRAM claims.

Here you go if you want to see some ghetto mounts (like ghetto tubeless... not saying they did a bad job) HS mounted to bikes without ISCG05

What part of the fit isn't working for you? (Referring to the adaptor)

It was tough to get on, and didn't seem like a perfect diameter fit. After pounding in on with a piece of PVC, the cutouts did sit up pretty well against the frame. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit anything between it and the cranks. I had a MRP XCG type guard I was hoping to add, but it didn't clear the inner ring.

Is yours the single ring version like this?
http://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...s.php?id=24848 Were you planning to just run single ring and a skid plate? These adaptors are very new so any feedback is appreciated, especially compatibility questions.
