    Firebird and Chris King Headset

I just cant seem to find a solid answer to this.
I have a 1.5 steerer on my new fork and Im wondering If I can use the CK NoThread 1.5 headset or the InSet.

The Firebird is a "Standard" 1.5" HT not the Inset 1.5". The Cup size will be the 49.7mm version and you just have to select the proper race/bearing combination for your particular fork (straight 1 1/8", full 1.5" or 1.5" taper). The Inset style uses a HT bore of 56mm while the "Standard" (more like "Original" now) uses a HT bore of 49.6mm. Firebird's use the 49.6mm HT while the new Mach 4 and Mach 5.7 use the Inset taper HT (56mmm lower, 44mm upper)

Edit; To answer the question more concisely, use the NoThread Set

Yeah, all the different headset and bottom bracket versions can get a bit confusing, even if you deal with it every day. I had to call Chris King to make sure I was ordering the right one for my bike
Not sure what 56mmm is though

There is a headset database where you type your bike in and it tells you exactly what you need.... http://canecreek.com/headset-fit-finder
