A few shots from my ride

Here in the north east the leaves are all just about down. Yesterday's ride was misty making for some slippery conditions. I just put a Hans Dampf on the front and it made the ride feel much more capable. I'm really enjoying the bike now.

Hey, that looks like my neck of the woods! Nice bike. You had a dw linked 5 Spot, no? If so, how does it compare?

Ringwood NJ. Compared to a DW Spot (I had 150mm forks on both) it's a couple lbs lighter (basically all frame weight) a little snappier and has a little more platform built in. Seems to climb the smoother stuff slightly better. Just as capable though and as plush feeling to me. I prefer it to be honest.

So I'm guessing you guys are able to recognize/remember where to go on the trail when it's completely covered with leaves? Not something I've ever had to deal with here in the desert but I'm always curious about....

Or the trails fairies show up and make the trails buff again. The benefits of being in a club that has a designated trails system.

It can be a little tough to follow the trails if you don't know them but there are little markers around head height on the trees every 30 yards or so which help. There is some debate about whether to blow the leaves since it can increase the freeze thaw cycle and cause some unwanted soil removal. However there are benefits too but most of our local trails are not blown / raked or cleared.

Ahhh Ringwood! I grew up in West Milford, if you haven't ridden Jungle Habitat yet I encourage you to do so! I miss technical trails and leaves covering up bomb holes. Bend, Oregon is a different animal thats for sure! Sick 5.7c by the way! Whos your local Pivot Dealer?

And one from today. As you can see it's all pretty rocky around these parts.
