    FB gets a new fork...

Fox Float 36 180 RC2... yes i shimmed it to 170 mm if anyone from Pivot is taking notes...

of course i figured it'd be better to include an action picture...

i would title this one... "aerial view of cattle dog" or "why gticlay did not get a cattle dog"

i need to develop my crashing skills...

Would you mind posting your settings and ride weight, once you've got it dialed?

I just re-set up my Float 180 (riding at 180). I'm at 13 clicks out from closed for both HSC and LSC and a few clicks slower than the manual says for rebound. I cannot run as much sag as they say because it'll be waaaaay too soft spring wise.

Hope it's not hijacking too much:

I'm 185ish with gear and run the fork 170mm at 40psi (still don't get proper sag)

LSC: 15 clicks out from undamped
HSC: 4 Clicks out from undamped
Rebound: 13 clicks out from fully damped

You have to count clicks from closed. Forks can have different numbers of clicks from "
open" or "undamped" but should be all the same from closed.

so far i have been all over the place with my settings except rebound has stayed 2 to 3 clicks from fully fast...
using Fox's click counting system on the online owner's manual:

    rebound - 15 or 16
    HS compression 6 to 20
    LS compression 3 to 20
air pressure 50 to 65 psi...

and that was just in the first ride ... for some reason it seems fairly different from my old (2009) Float 160... so it'll be a while before i zero in on some settings

oh yeah, i would guess me + gear 160 to 165 lbs (depending how much water i am carrying )...
