    Cane Creek DBA on Firebird

Looking for some input from peeps running this set up. I would need to buy the v2 rocker as well so it's a pretty big investment. I currently have the rp23 that's been pushed. Its a good shock but feels a little overwhelmed on some longer DH runs, gets pretty hot too. I also have a 170 coil fork, fox van.I guess I'm just curious if i'm tapping in to the full potential of the bird or if the ccdba will take it to the next level and unlock the full potential. Also, are you using the standard can or the XV ? other shock suggestions welcome to.

I'm putting a CCDBair on my Firebird. I also had to order the v2 rocker. No idea how much it will cost, but if it makes this bike better, which is hard to believe, then cost isn't an issue!

I had the DHXair on mine, Lyric 170 Solo air. I just found the hard hits were really hard and am hoping the new shock will help with that.

I've been running the standard can version for over a year now. It's a great shock IF you take the time to set it up properly. The range of adjustability on this thing is so wide that it can be a bit daunting. The FloatX is very close in performance, just doesn't have the ability to fine tune it to your personal preferences. That's a good thing for most people It's also a bit lighter....

Is it a considerable difference to the DHX?

I found out the v2 rocker costs $130. With that and the price of the ccdba i'm having second thoughts. My fork needs some love too so I need to spread the wealth. I may look into the cc inline shock and see if it would be a good fit. Otherwise I think i'll just stick it out with the rp23.
