I have one on order as well. The last I heard, Pivot was looking at the first batch shipping in early Jan and the second batch in late Jan. So, any day now (hopefully).

A handful shipped the last week of December and a bunch more shipped this week. They should be arriving at the shops very soon.

I've been calling my LBS every other day, but no big packages from Arizona yet

5.7 Sighting!

Caught my first glimpse of a 5.7 carbon in person yesterday. Sports Garage in Boulder Co has their first shop bike. It was a Large and I couldn't believe how light it felt. It was a higher end build so I'm sure that lightened it up but it felt featherlight.. What an amazing looking bike. I loved the look of the matte color frame and bold graphics. Now where do I come up with $5000, hmmm...

I got it wednesday january 18. The first one in Canada. A small xt/xtr pro. Unfortunately I'll have to wait to ride it. As you can see Canada is not Arizona...

Awesome. I'm still waiting - trying to only call the LBS every other day. Supposedly my frame was shipped.

You boys are in for treat with the 5.7 carbon.Just rode one at Pivot's demo day at South Mountain.Going into it I thought I'd like the 429 the best but didn't really like that bike, the 5.7 was so much better.I'd have say it was the best bike I've ridden to date & it was built 4 lbs. heavier than my current bike.

Wowsers, you must be over the moon... and you've got a public holiday to ride it too.
Looking forward to any impressions you may have after you've had more time on the bike.
But thanks for the pics.

btw, how tall are you? I'm pretty set on the green medium (5'10") but that red looks great.

I am 5'9, you can see the seat height which is pretty accurate. I adjusedt the bar/stem height when I got back, was way too high. Nice to descend with, but popping the front wheel on the climbs.

As for this bike, VERY nice. Fork still needs to be dialled and probably wear in a little from a few more rides. Rear shock and DW Link is fantastic as to be expected. Descending rock sections and jumps is amazing, like a moto compared to my previous bike!

Weight is approx 11.5kg as is in the photo. I knocked off about 100g with the saddle alone and another 100g or so with my Hope rotors and Ti bolts which I had laying around in the garage. Brakes still work exceptionally well.

Will follow up more soon once I ride it a bit more.
