Sony Cybershot RX100, II or III?

    Photo Friends,

I've been using a Panasonic DMC LX7 with some pretty good results. Mostly landscape and portrait shots. Not much zooming. Store it in a tiny Lowe bag on my shoulder strap on my Osprey hydration bag. Works like a charm.

Anyway I broke the Panasonic recently and it's predecessor about 1 year ago, so I'm thinking of trying something different.

The Sony RX100 is in it's 3rd version. I won't spend the 750 for the latest, but I can find the first version for around 400 bucks.

Anybody have any experience with this camera? It's got a huge sensor for the small camera size, but it's been a while since I've had a Sony point and shoot.

    Opinions/Observations welcome.

Yea, I carry the II almost everywhere I ride. Like you, it sits in a small shoulder strap bag. Photo quality rivals my DSLRs at low ISO's.

I'm thinking of getting the III for its electronic viewfinder since the LCD screen is unusable in bright sunlight.

    Wish they had a gps...
