Lake Tahoe in the winter?
Went up to South Lake Tahoe last weekend brought my old bike and snowboard...bike won out. There is so much awesome riding up there I have only just started exploring. This is Van Sickle Trail starting near Nevada side of Heavenly. TAMBA knows whats up, they build some of the best trails IMO. Cant wait to get back up there in the summer. There was a bit of snow in some shady areas but when I got on the face that looks out at the lake there was very little, and amazing views.
South lake is my home. Yes we have awesome trails and some kick ass people that ride bike super friendly mtb people here. Coral loop and sidewinder are my 2 favorite short runs that you can shuttle with friends. The tops of coral is open and in good condition. I also did the tahoe rim trail to Christmas vally a few weeks ago it was a good time one big tree down besides that all clear.
My friend and I are doing the Flume trail next week it's going to be hot but awesome. The flume is on the east side of the lake.
Mr toads wild ride is said to be awesome it is on my to ride list. Last week the trails were amazing perfect dirt thanks to some rain.
Happy to see someone enjoyed biking in tahoe.
