    Assignment: Night long exposure shots

Here's a couple I took with my Minolta Maxxum 7i. Badly scanned in, and I don't remember the "ExIF" data, but I still like the images.

I may have posted these before, but here are some of my favorite attempts at night riding long exposure shots. All were taken with a Canon T3i and 14mm Rokinon.

Here's what happens when you use a gorilla tripod too small for the job and your camera falls over mid-shot:

I definitely prefer the old HID style lights (first two images) over the newer LED lights (last two images) for night shooting. The camera captures the on-off nature of the LED that your eye never sees.

It's not biking, but it's action, it's long exposure, and it's also a little speed light added!

What settings are you guys typically running?

I do have a T2i DSLR; but would rather use my trail camera (an Olympus TG830) - anyone know if that camera can do the necessary adjustments? I only ask since I've always just shot in Auto-mode

Last few I've shot. Hartman's Rocks, Iditarod Trail, and Arizona Trail.
