    Anyone have a GoPro Hero?

Getting back into riding and my wife picked up this GoPro Hero on sale for $65 so why not try it out. 2 questions:

    1. When riding where is the best place to mount it?

    2. How does 30 fps look in 1080p? Any choppiness?

    Thanks.
Hills. I hate hills. Maybe it's because I can only pedal in one direction and that's down.

    1. I like chest mount, or if you have someone following you the seat post mount. Both work better in my opinion if you mount it upside down and adjust the camera to film right side up.

    2. If it's the Original Hero HD (thanks GoPro for confusing names) I don't like 1080p because the field of view is reduced to something like 127 degrees (from 170 normal) which make the video considerably more "shakey". If it's the new hero, I think it will be fine. I usually record in 1080/30 on my Hero 2 and 4 if I don't need slow motion. No complaints.
I'm looking forward to regretting this.......

I love mine. You got a really good deal on it too.

1.) I have it on my helmet. Your head kinda acts like a stabilizer.

    2.) Not really.

I like 720p / 60fps which I have filmed all my mtb videos with.
I don't use Strava. Don't need an application to tell me I am slow because I already know.

So I used the sticky pad to secure it to my helmet and this is what I got at 1080p/30fps today. IMO the youtube quality looks like crap and not in HD like I recorded it.
