    Wiss SS gearing

Who's running Wiss on a SS and what gearing are you pushing?

I'm on a 29er right now and I've switched from 32/20 to 32/19 and I'm loving it but i may even go taller 32/18 or 32/17

I've ridden just about every hill out there on my 29er with 32 x 18. Its tough though, and I'm relatively fit.

The last time I rode VG was in '06 w/ a custom 1993 16.7" Klien "rascal" geared 34/16. The only climb I did not make was "bertha".

    gearing

    34x20 on a 26er.

I started with a traditional 32x16 and then went to 34x18. Rode that awhile and then went to 34x20 'for the winter' and never put the 18 back on. I realize the "just suck it up" guy might be kidding, but I find I can clean every climb except for 3 or 4 with that gearing. I don't see the point in rolling a big gear.

34/20 on a 26" works well for me...but I am still the one who gets spanked at the Wiss.
