    Rides in Phila area

Besides Wissahickon there is Pennypack Park at the Northwestern edge of the city limits. Pennypack is very easy but it is somewhere to ride when you can't get out to other trails or the others are too wet/muddy. High Rocks/Tohickon Creek is short but VERY technical, it's above Doylestown. French Creek has over 20 miles of trails most that are very rocky and technical. Mt.Greta/Gov. Dick is still open to ride above Hershey. I ride alot in Delaware(Middle Run and Brandywine) and Fair Hill in Maryland. Pickup a copy of MountainBikeAmerica-Greater Philadelphia by Bob D'Antonio or Mountain Biking Pennsylvannia by Rob Ginieczki. These guide books have decent maps of LEGAL trails. What kind of riding are you into?
