What do you do with 24" of Snow???

Go camping. The hike in was a killer, leg burn climbing up the mtn. Started at about 600feet, total 1300 took over two hrs. Weather was great.

Nice. Reminds me of a special trip I had with my dad in Yosemite.... my students always ask about this one picture-I'm in snow up to my waist, wearing gym shorts carrying a backpack as big as me.... I try to explain to them that it was in the mid 60's that afternoon.... so they want to know why there is snow. Well, Yosemite in June is the peak of snow-melt and the best time to see waterfalls. We camped that night a little over 10,000 feet on top of the snow. I have no idea how cold it was overnight, but I was afraid for my life a few times. Getting over the pass the next morning was hard, but we had a great view for breakfast. If our trip would have been a few days earlier, we'd never have made it this far. I'll have to see if I can find our "breakfast" picture.

Anyway, camping in the snow is an experience!

Did the dogs get their own tent?
You better just go ahead and drop that seatpost down to the reflector... the trail gets pretty rough down there.

most of us only have 3 season tents. On some winter trips we may not even use a tent at all.
