Wow, fun mud! Looks like the last moto race of this season in NY. I had a hard enough time on something with a throttle...I can't even imagine pedaling through that slop. A big congratulations to everyone that did. Way to Go!!!

That's a lot of work to ride in that muck! Congrats to all who raced Reminds me of the Stewart race we did in the spring. I can still see Joan coming up the last hill smiling. I told George next year we need "Floaties" I "still" have water & gak in my shoes!

Those look like the barriers we built for our Cyclo-X course at mOOn.(thanks Dr John)

Ummmmm Waffles! Think we could get Leonard Allen(this is where you lauhgh really hard thinking of his Beagle story)to cook up some of those waffles at Twin Creeks for the moto race? I bet that mud smells as good as a Unadilla s88ter... LOL That reminds me if you wanna go to the Ice Racing chapionships in Erie, Dennis is doing the reporting and can get us tickets. PM me.

Remember it takes hours to prepare good food and Unadilla it's prepared in seconds... LOL

Thanks. We had to run in many places on the course too. That made things very intersting.

    Chris,

Awesome pictures!!! That does look like fun!!! A couple questions:

    1) Are there any local Cross races around here?

    2) Are you able to use an ordinary mountain bike to compete in these?

I know I would get my "you know what" handed to me, but it does look like more fun than a Barrel of Monkeys!

Your answer to your questions are.

    1. no, but check out this site for up and comming races http://www.midatlanticcross.info/home.htm

2 yes but no barends. a 29ner with a thin tire like 1.95 would work great since it is the same size as a cross bike 700c but a 26 in wheel bike will work just fine.

It is fun but painful. It's great to watch too.

    Thanks Chris,

It looks like a fun race! When I started mountain biking I was told that it would never stop being painful and they were right...LOL! I think I must be a little masochistic because I am enjoying the pain. I will check out that link. Thank you!
