Twas a nice day the m00n

That'd be Moon Lake Park for those what don't know.

Good four hours of cathartic bump-n-grind trail.

Some some fishermen at the lake pulling in rainbow trout, good for them.

Couple doggies pulling people around the trail.

Two types of wildlife - one two-point buck and one Jake.

Spent some time playing with the wood at Deacon.

Cleared a bunch of deadfall on various trails, particularly T-Rex 1 & 2, "8", 5 Trees, Nightmare, and Slide. There was one deadfall I didn't try to move.

Fo Shame to anyone not getting a ride on today! :P

    Now, for dinner!

    Weather cleared

Well looks like the mOOn was fine. Did some trail Maint this afternoon....not to bad a time with blow down or snow down.....conditions looked great....so after finishing up .....did a short ride.....I saw 2 bucks also....1 very close to where we saw the bear on the night ride a few weeks ago....1 down near my house(this one had a broken rear leg!)....both were in no hurry to let me pass...must be in full rut at this point.....like the snake picture....kinda late season around here to be out ...especially after the cold snap...where did you see it(trail)?......you could wake up this thread if you post that picture...

    Snakes....post your pictures ......

Cool to hear about the maint Jeff, one day I'll see your mail before I head out and be able to join you. ;^)

The snake was a wee-little guy, moving like 2mm a second, maybe. I think it was under 12" long, maybe about 1/4 thick at most.

I'm pretty sure it was Edge of the Ledge, near where it comes into Skinny.

    Good job!

    Ted:

Nice pics great day once again!

I see you found the continuance of the Nemisis wood ride. Tricky isn't it?

    Jeff & Ted:

A little maintenance goes a long way.

Thanks for the efforts to make things nice for all to ride.

    Trail Maint.

Sorry about late notice on Trail maint.. Basically what happens is if the weather looks questionable or the trail conditions are pretty wet....I make a last minute decision to do some TM. As the weather gets tougher for riding will plan some TM with so more advanced notice. Seven of us went out in one area and another group of 3 hit a different section. Mostly light trimming and removal of deadfall from the storms.

Thanks for posting the snake shot. He will be heading into the rocks on "Edge of the Ledge" for winter sleep soon.
