Let's report in after wards on good bargains and interesting finds.

Extra credit, anyone into good, or hard to find beers, should check out Shangy's in Emmaus (google it), also well worth a visit.

    I'll be there!
As Jeff said, always good for people-watching even if you don't find any deals.

^ Agreed. The people watching is as much fun as the deal hunting.

I think the treasure hunt aspect comes into play on things like this. You never really know until you go there and poke around. And if you see a one-of-a-kind something, grab it, if you wait and walk around and come back it might be gone.

    Asking price?

What did you do with all the components that came with this?

I didn't buy it complete. Anything that was on it when I rode it has either been transferred to other bikes or is somewhere in my basement/garage/attic. Why? What are you looking for?

    Anybody snag anything interesting?

I got a nice pocket tool, the kind with the usual folding allen/hex and screwdriver heads on it, plus this one had an on-board, fold-away chain link tool. For $12.

And got a few pair of cheap sunglasses from the guy in the RH corner as you walk in. These are the 'el cheapo models, $8, the kind that you don't regret if you lose them.

My buddy picked up a Jamis Kromo in decent shape for $275. This will be perfect for him as he lives close to the Reid Menzer Memorial skatepark which is bike friendly and has dirtjumps. I picked up some Transition flat pedals and 661 gloves in a combo for $15. I also picked up several Hopdevils which were a bargain at anyprice.

I got a half hour ride down Natures Way, then down 5858 on the X-Fusion Vengeance on Saturday. Then hit Lackawanna with the CDH crew on Sunday for a climb fest. I was pleasantly surprised how little it affected my climbing. It felt really nice going off the couple rocks I could jump/drop. Now I need some real downhill so I can play with all the knobs.

I wondered who had left those skid marks on 5858, seems as though I'm the only person that rides there these days. Glad to hear you're happy with it (so far).

So, playing with knobs day, Saturday?

You bet. Columbus-tubed Cove Handjob frame, never built. $75!!

I had one just like it for years and loved it. I'd probably still be riding the old one if not for a crack that developed on the down tube after (I think) I mangled it on an old Performance workstand.

Suffice to say I feel like I got the best deal of the day, hands down!

Also sold somewhere between $400 and $500 worth of old parts. It was a great day.

Still have the mantra frame. First $200 takes it.

Stick I musta walked right past you a million times. Too busy looking at parts I guess.

Chriffer you STOLE that fork! I saw another O8 BO 29er fork for cheap (used) but the steerer was cut too short. Was shopping on behalf of buddy Mark (was also on BM ride a few weeks back). Then I did find a barely-used one and got it for $90. Not bad given they're cresting $150 (used) all day on eBay... but $60! Cripes... you beat me to that one for sure! Killer deal.

Saw lotsa stuff AND lotsa people this year but didn't buy anything for myself. Was just looking for a couple oddball stems anyway. Plenty of 29er stuff. Enjoyed seeing the old bikes. Last spring I def.ly scored on buying bar/stem/cranks for my faux-Klunker 5

Big T-town Flea Mkt. fan - looking fwd. to Spring already...

you guys did better than me. All I got were 3 pairs of wool socks for $10 and a like new pair of Oakley M-frames for $30.
That was the biggest crowd I think I've ever seen, and I've been going to those since they were held in the little parking lot across the street.
