Hey Justin, nice to meet you last night. If you want to reach another 390 riders, go ahead and post this to our web forum. Although, you might not have enough lights to go around! Good luck with this program, by the looks of last night I think it will be a success! Thanks for helping out... Lou Harris - President PMBA www.phillymtb.org
We are going to cancel the ride for tonight. It is supposed to stop raining around 2pm, but with all the rain last night and today the trails will be delicate. We will continue the weekly rides Thursday, November 29th after Thanksgiving.
Yup, Demo lights are always available. You just have to email us in advance to let us know what you want. You can check the lights out at www.switchback321.com. To reserve a light(s) just email jkline[AT]princetontec.com.
Yes, the rides go all winter long. We are out there as long as it is not raining or too muddy. We will usually update on www.livingonthedash.com if we are going to cancel. We try and start riding at about 6:30 and usually wrap things up around 8:30 or 9. It just depends how many people there are and how long everyone wants to ride.
To those who check this forum for ride updates:
With rain/slush on the way there will be no ride tonight. The following two Thursdays we are out of town at shows so we will see everyone again in February.
The ground is still overly saturated from all the rain that fell in the last 24 hours so we are going to call off the ride tonight. Lets hope for dry or frozen ground next Thursday so we can get things rolling again!
The weather looks decent enough to announce the ride a day in advance! It should be dry and fairly warm tomorrow night so see everyone at the usual spot. This will be our first ride starting with a little day light but the park curfew is 8pm this month. Be sure to get there early to get your light setup so we can roll out by 6:30.
