I'm planning on riding the eight mile at Roaring Creek starting some time around late morning / early afternoon. Let me know if anybody wants to join me.

Thanks Finny. I can't make it over myself but I've never been there that it's not plowed. I believe they have to keep it clear so the water co. has access if they need it. What time does everybody want to go?

Six of us hit it today - NEPMTBA, Nanerpudin, jonz187, mxer, the man the myth the legend Motoman465 and myself. We ran into Bear who was on the backside of his out & back. We also saw John running barefoot with his wife riding her bike and numerous other mountain bikers. Good times, good friends, good jokes, lotsa laughs. Punch line of the day - "Rectum? It almost fokin killed him!"

Whereabouts is this place located? I'm trying to expand my choices of riding because my normal location in Jim Thorpe is really crippled by vast sheets of ice as of late. I would possibly also like to tag along on one of your sunday rides sometime soon if that's cool. Just wondering how far away from Allentown you guys are

It's the service road that runs from the parking area for Weiser St Forest just off hwy 54 near Bear Gap across to hwy 42, passing Shamokin reservoir along the way.

When there's no snow, there's apparently lots of singletrack up in the surrounding hills (I've sampled some of them and they were good).

Roaring Creek Watershed - You can access it from Natalie, PA or Aristes, PA. According to Mapquest it's an hour and a half from Allentown to Natalie.
