    Sunday 11/21...Classic...

.....Late Fall conditions....wet, muddy, cold start, light wind on the summits, browns and muted reds everywhere in site....we were a group of seven including KuhlCat, DB, MikeB.,SantaCruz60, Steve, and Bear......yes long lost Bear....we haven't seen him up our way all year....riding a free ride bike! Ride started with a flat in my driveway for MikeB. Shortly into the ride we ran into Jon practicing for his Alaska trip....he had those huge bar mitts on ....wishing for colder weather and some of the white stuff.....

    Busy Beavers....

......we did some classic bushwhacking on todays ride...including some hub high water crossings after being forced off our reg route because the beavers have been busy creating ponds where stream crossings once were..... we used the classic bike tripod at one point....

.....DB looks like he had the crossing in the bag in the pic above......don't be so sure.........well we got the money shot of him heading across the stream....luckily he was not hurt just a bit wet and cold....we headed to the GS Mountain Bike Bar but found the bartender ready to ride.....good to see Jack,Dick, and Chris....we rode a bit with them before heading to Tatto Alley.....

The OTB shot in the middle of the creek shot is great. Looks likes Snappers 0-4?

    Here's a short vid......

......of DB crossing the outflow from the body of water that legend has .....holds one of General Sullivans cannons....somewhere buried under tons of mud....his troops were crossing the mountain when they wandered into some quick sand(more like quick bog).....well not sure how accurate that legend is...but it is not hard to imagine his army crossing through the area many years ago.......marching up from Easton to avenge the attacks on early settlers of the Wyoming Valley....us today out there on our steel horses...

My feet are finally starting to thaw out now. Other than that , it was a great ride. The nice thing about the route we chose today was that it offered some variety. Rocky and technial in some places and fast and fairly smooth in others with a nice mix up uphill and downhill.
D.B. doing a swandive in the creek----priceless ! The pictures all turned out great, but that one was outstanding.

Dave, you're on my list now. No backing out.

According to my GPS this ride was ~ 15 miles long with a pretty good amount of climbing - and some way-good downhill payout for the deposits made into the gravity bank!

I REALLY enjoyed to ride, but could honestly do w/o the Beaver Re Route - maybe have to take some clippers back there and get a real re-route done so it can be all ridden. ;^)

Jonz, I'm betting you would love the trail sequence.

As I build back up I want to see if there's a way of looping/figure-8 this with at least part of Snappers, or some of the lower stuff. I think it'd be pretty easy to put together a 20+ ride that's 70-80% singletrack at this point.

For comparison, the simple Snappers route is about 16 miles in the loop and only about 50% singletrack.

One of the all-time best "Superman's" caught on film. Have been there myself, but never caught in mid-air...

    Great ride

Jeff, good seeing you guys out on the trails. Jarrett and I started at my house so we hit some of the same stuff. We went out thru Glen Summit, Cryatal Lake (no bushwacking) to Snapper zero, did all the Snappers (which were amazing!) then hit Quarry Climb and intersected you at the beginning of Summit View. It ended up being just over 20 miles.

BTW, thx to you Jarrett wants a Tallboy!
