Suggested Trails near Center Valley/Lehigh Valley

I am going to be in that area next week and hoping to ride on Thursday morning for a few hours. Looking for XC/Trail/singletrack, definately not a hucker....but a good strong rider.

What do you suggest? BTW...anyone who wants to join/lead is appreciated.

    Thanks
    -Chris

Specifically, the closest things to you that have maps and are easy to get to will be Nockamixon, and Salisbury.

If you like flowy and twisty, do Nox, if you like rocky and technical at times, do Sals.

When I think of Center Valley / Lehigh Valley, I don't think of Nox. Am I missing something?

Well, its 25-30 minutes from Center Valley to Nox, close enough. He could save 10 minutes and do Sals I guess. I live in Macungie so I'm used to driving 30 minutes to go riding.

Riding 20-30 minutes to trail is not an issue. Not familiar with "Sals". One more piece of info that may guide recommendations is that I will be on a single speed (giving geared bike to my guest). Are both Nox and Sals single speed friendly?

I work in Center Valley and Nox is more like 45 since 309 traffic sucks. For an after work quickie I usually hit either Sals or Emmaus. 15min to either. Both are definitely singlespeedable if you have the legs

Trexler. Not very technical but fast and flowy for sure. There are a few climbs but should be pretty single speed friendly

Oh I would definitely go to Trexler if one wants fast and flowy and Center Valley to Nox is 45 minutes in traffic.

My opinion is that you will enjoy riding Nox more on a single speed. There is a lot of technical climbing at Sals.... Nox is on a flatter piece of land along a lake, Sals is on a ravine next to the river. Nox is a lot smoother, Sals is very rocky. Nox is as close or closer to Center Valley than Trexler. 309 is not the best way to get to Nox from center Valley, 412 south is the way to go.
