    Snow/Ice/Saw/Blood/Power

Well most of the snow missed us....woke up to about 1 to 1.5 inches of powder layered over about .25 inches of old snow.....anywhere there was standing water it was frozen solid.....pretty good conditions.....saw the tracks of a "norte american animas pugsley"...but that was the only sign of riders. Combined riding with some trail maintenance....took out 6 or so deadfalls that had somehow managed to get hung horizontal about 12 inches off the ground.

Why are you guys cutting out that log? Maybe it's just the angle, but it doesn't look like it'd be that hard to get over.

Anyways, looks like nice conditions for a ride! We're buried here in the Laurel Highlands, so it's nice to see some ride pics to fill the void

When I first read this, I thought you wrote 'twenty-five' inches of old snow. I was like "What?" then I looked closer.... Looks like you had a great time. Thanks for the trail maintenance work!! Rocks are o.k., but logovers are annoying....

    Good job!

Logovers are part of Mt biking, but a quad guy would of ridden right over that baby!...

... but then again it might have been in a high flow part of the trail where a MTB would be hampered by it causing a momentum loss...

... he who trims the trail, trims as he pleases!

    NIce work!

Actually a quad guy would probably bulldoze around it. If he went over it, he might spill his beer

still some snow hanging around jeff.....don't give up yet.
4-6" solidified base topped off with 3-4" of the lightest fresh i skied all year. unfortunately, its nothing compared to what they got down south. regardless...the mantra is generally true...."turns are where you find'em."

here's a few shots....surprisingly...a lot of this was southern exposed. forest city area. no further info can be given at this time.
