    Short South Park Ride Tonight

What's up PA forum, decided to quit being a lurker and post. Going for a short South Park ride tonight at ~ 6:30, will report back with conditions.

If anyone is out tonight, I'll be the guy on the green Kona gasping for breath after a seriously lazy winter

I ride almost every trail in Pittsburgh except south park... I would like to learn the trails out there this summer.

Only had time for a short ride, but most of the trails were pretty dry. There were some long stretches of mud in flat sections, which could be ridden around (although it appeared no one else chose to.)

That's good, you're not supposed to, it just widens the trail and does more damage.

    Great pic though. ;^)

Yea, South Park isn't exactly notable for its drainage.

Roaring Run, Moraine, and Bavington are all within reasonable driving distance and offer much better trail conditions in SWPA's wet season.
Oh noes. I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid.

I actually spent the first 20 years of my existence living right in Bavington. I was able to ride 3/4 of a mile on the road from my house to get to the trails. Definitely miss that!
