    Poconos Camping Suggestions?

Any info would be MUCH appreciated. It seems like there is a plethora of places to stay. Wanted to stay at a cool campsite. Planning some riding and car camping up there this weekend. Thanks all!

You can camp right at Mauch Chunk Lake park.
There are trails right there at the park or a short distance away.
See this site for more trail information.

    Have fun!

    You could also try

Locust Lake State Park. Its about 20 mins or so west of Thorpe and some great riding south of the camping area. Mostly singletrack that the motorcycle guys cut in but some awesome stuff. If you google Locust Lake and find the map the trails are along Firetower Rd. If you're not familiar definitely bring a GPS b/c once you get out in the woods there's nothing close by.

We always stay at the Jim Thope Camping Resort. It has real bathrooms and showers and you can pick up the switchback trail right there and ride up to the lake or pick up some cool trails from there.

Ditto. I have my camper on a permanent site there. If you do stay there, stop by Site 4 and say hello and have a beer or 3.

Truly a wealth of useless information.
