    Noxen 11/14/2010

I rode from Noxen via Wilson Ayers Rd. out to Ricketts Glen/487 and back yesterday. Here are some photos.

The bike I did the ride on. 2010 Cannondale F9 SS that I put together from my parts bin. I took a quick break about 4.5 miles into the ride and snapped this photo.

A look down a nice smooth section of the trail.

I wish I had a wide angle lens with me on this trip.

The plaque reads: "Crevling Lakes. Named in honor of J.Q. Crevling, ESQ. Dean of Pennsylvania Sportsmen. Father of game and fish codes. Presented by United Sportsmen of Pennsylvania 1948." I'm fairly sure I got that correct. This was toward the end of the first half of the trip.

    Near my turn around point.

Route 487. This is where I turned back onto the trail and did it all over again in reverse. This is exactly 12.5 miles from where I was parked. I'll be looking to head out to the old ghost town that's out there if I can locate it the next time I do this ride.

Finished the 25 mile trip! Loaded up the Jeep. Sat for a while and enjoyed some water and a peanut butter sandwich before heading home. Oh, and yes... I removed the bottles and cargo bag before leaving.

Thats a great area and there are many fire and access roads that can be connected and made into some large loops. Nice pics
