    Northpark Conditions???

Newb here, never been to to NP. Is it ride-able this time of the year and any tips for NP in general? Read that outer loop is a good place to start...

Haven't been there lately, but I think most everything should be rideable. Most of the snow is gone, but depending on the temperature could be muddy. Go here for maps: Parks Department Maps , the central and south sections are what you want. On the central section, the orange trail on the east side of the golf course (heading north) is good, the west side I don't like as much. Also the blue / red on the north ridge is good stuff. A bit of a climb to get there, starting at Olympia shelter, but worth it. On the south section, there are trails all around the swimming pool area. The nice thing about North Park is, after you get tired in the woods, you can drop down to the lake and do a scenery lap to finish up.

Thanks. It's a little confusing up there but your advice was helpful.

    Cheers!

Yeah, it's a big park, takes a while to figure it out. Also helps to plan on using some road sections to connect it all together. Some trails ride better one way than the other, sometimes a quick bypass on the road gives you a break and makes the overall ride flow better. Everything pretty much makes a big loop around the lake, if you can stay oriented to that you are good to go.
